Wilma Wednesday: National Library Week

Wilma, books, National Library Week

It’s National Library Week, and Wilma asked me to check out some of her favorite books.

“I would do it, but you won’t take me.”

“I don’t think a library is the right place for you, Wilma.”

She hasn’t read any of these books, or any books at all, for that matter. Wilma speaks well, but her reading skills are nonexistent. Those encyclopedias? Just for show.

“They smell good.”

“No licking, Wilma.”

She’s also wondering ‘is this another photo op?’ The expression on her face says it all… This isn’t her first rodeo w/a camera in her face 🙂
She’s right books do smell good! nothing is better than cracking open a book and turning brand new pages and getting lost in a story!

You’re right on both counts. It’s all I can do to get her to look at that scary iPhone.

A good book and a savory bone. All anyone needs.

Insert wine, tea or coffee for “bone.” Can’t think of a replacement for “book.”

My cat was afraid of my iPhone. Now she could care less. However she leaves the room when she hears the tapping when I text. Guess she isn’t deaf😉

Does Wilma know To Kill A Mockingbird doesn’t contain vital information about killing mockingbirds?

    • Petrea - April 12, 2017 @ 14:49

      Shh, don’t tell her.

It’s nice to dream, dear Wilma ….

At least she likes it when I tell her stories.
