Wilma Wednesday: Friday

Wilma, cookies, oven, kitchen

“I’m ready for my oatmeal cookie.”

Wilma is not allowed in the kitchen while sharp things or hot things are in use, unless she’s posing. Even then, once I’ve gotten the photo I ask her to go to her place in the dining room where she’s out from underfoot. From there she can watch while she awaits her cookie. (It will look and taste exactly like a jerky strip.)

“Thnkyewverymudgh.”

I didn’t manage a Wilma Wednesday post this week—well, I did, just a couple of days late.

    You made cookies …?

    • Petrea - March 3, 2017 @ 09:01

I have been known to make cookies, yes.

    • Petrea - March 3, 2017 @ 09:01

I’m not sure that was the answer you were looking for.

Better late than never!..:-) btw Wilma has grown, I remember when u first got her…
She looks like she’s guarding the oven from potential cookie snatchers.. 🙂

Sometimes she looks big and tough to me. Sometimes she looks small and cute. I’m beginning to wonder if she can puff herself up when she has an important job to do, like protecting cookies.

With s look like that…she deserves a second cookie!!!

    • Petrea - March 3, 2017 @ 09:36

      She deserves a hundred cookies!

Sounds like she’s a very patient photo subject.

Because she knows the reward is worth it!

She’s good at patience, it’s one of her virtues. The reward had better come, however.

I’m surprised she could take her eyes off the cookies. What a good model.

    • Petrea - March 6, 2017 @ 11:42

Maybe it’s not a visual for her. Although she’s more visually oriented than a lot of dogs, the smell of cookies and the sensation of the warm oven make her feel safe and cozy.

Wilma knows the right place to hang out. Perhaps she can explain that to your husband? Heh, heh!

    • Petrea - March 7, 2017 @ 12:06

She’s a clear communicator, so I’ll bet she can!
