John Sandel, Petrea Burchard, Petrea, home, books

I love this picture John took of me while I was inventorying books.

I’ve been working so hard on The Wilma Dialogs I almost forgot to post today. It’s good. I’m in the flow. Now it’s coffee break time, and I remembered there was something I was supposed to do.

I would have remembered sooner if I’d written it down, like on a calendar or a notes app or a plain old piece of analog scratch paper. But then I would have to remember to look at the scratch paper.

At least I remembered to inventory my books, right?

LOVE John’s pic!!! And I’m glad I’m not the only one who’s forgetful around here…BTW…who wrote this???

That’s the table where we eat supper—by candlelight always. Imagine sitting every evening across from a woman who fascinates you, with the casement windows open and the sun setting behind the trees.

      I’m pretty lucky.

Inventorying your books and filing them alphabetically? I’m so impressed. Can you come round and do this for us? As for remembering to do things – as soon as I write my pending tasks down, my brain assumes I’ve done them.

    • Petrea - November 5, 2016 @ 09:52

That’s an excellent reason for writing things down, Bellis. Takes the pressure off. I was inventorying copies of my own books for sale, but I’d be happy to come and inventory your books. A change of scene would do me good!

I don’t think u were forgetful.. Remember that blog on ‘Claire’…. Inventorying those books were evidently important… 🙂 btw love the updated photo!.. Gorgeous- Petrea!
Love b&w’s… those stay w/me more than the color photos

Thank you! So interesting, I try photos in black & white, then I usually choose color. But I love B&W.

I’m thinking this would make a great Halloween shot. It has just the right touch of night fright. Oh, wait, that’s over, I think. Well, for next year then.

That’s a nice big table for doing inventory.

    He: “Where are the books?”

    She: “What books?”

It’s the dining room table, but it often has other projects on it. Usually mine, because my office is off the dining room.
      I don’t see any books.

That makes for a good shot. Well, if something slips your mind from time to time, it wasn’t worth remembering in the first place.

    • Petrea - November 5, 2016 @ 09:54

Thank you, William. I think you’ve just let me off the hook.

    A brilliant capture!

I agree! My husband is a top-notch photographer.
